Disaster Services
Every Day You Save My Life

Each year, the South Arkansas Chapter of the American Red Cross responds to hundreds of disasters including house or apartment fires (the majority of disaster responses), hurricanes, floods, earthquakes, tornadoes, hazardous materials spills, transportation accidents, explosions, and other natural and man-made disasters. We assist disaster victims in meeting their emergency needs to include shelter, food, clothing and emotional support.

Whether it is a fire, hurricane or flood it is essential that you, your family and/or your business know about the services available to you from the South Arkansas Red Cross.

  • We can help you Be Prepared
  • We can teach about Disaster Safety
  • After a Disaster we will be there to support you on your road to recovery.

The South Arkansas Chapter is here for you – please be sure to read through our web site or contact us in person to learn more about how we can help you prepare for the unexpected or recover from a disaster. Our paid staff and volunteers are available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. All assistance is FREE and an outright gift made possible by the donations of time and resources from the American people.

There are many ways you can help – become a disaster volunteer, donate funds designated towards disaster services, get your company involved in Disaster Preparedness. To become a disaster volunteer, you must go through our disaster training. South Arkansas Chapter volunteers have been integral to servicing victims of disasters in our area. Some South Arkansas Chapter volunteers also sign up to help with national disasters as well. Contact us to learn more at (870) 863-8196.
